Back in the Spring I decided to give our living room an update. I wanted a different color palate, something quieter and more soothing. I traded my red drapes for tobacco brown, gave away my dark olive oriental rug to a friend in favor of a much lighter floral one and introduced blues in to the room with pillows I made myself. We are both really enjoying the room so much more! We have spent more time in our living room since all of the changes. So when I started my annual Pumpkin Mania a couple of weeks ago I plopped a big orange one down in the living room and
It was not good.
I will spare you the pictures!
Fast forward a week later. I’m walking in to Publix
And loose my mind.
They had a HUGE crate as big as my Jeep overflowing with Heirloom pumpkins!
I can promise you they are still talking about me down at the Publix. I squealed just like a girl.
This is a Queensland Blue pumpkin. It is actually a grayish blue and it is perfect for my living room. They had PILES of them as well as every other Heirloom pumpkin, BIG ones!
2 for 9.99 ๐
The cake pedistal is one of my favorite thrifted finds ever. Although I’ve never put a cake one it, you would not believe all the things I use this for. I love to serve hors d’oeuvres on it. Makes a fun place to show off a big blue pumpkin too!
The little white pumpkins have finally made their appearance at the grocery store.
One more won’t hurt ๐
Have a great week!
Paige

Wow! 2 for $9.99? They're at least double that here [east coast VA]. You do seem to find some good stuff in your neighborhood. Looks great in the room too. ๐

Paige, that big blue pumpkin is so awesome! I swear I am going to grow heirloom pumpkins next summer! I love the little white ones, too! So nice to have a choice besides the orange ones.

Ha ha ha. So funny! I live in Australia, and Queensland Blues are just our routine pumpkins, the sort of, generic type most common here. I've never heard of them being Heirloom varieties! Marketting, hey? Chuckle. But yes! They are little sculptures!
Glad you have a little piece of Australia in your Halloween decorations!
Cheers, Liz.
