Well , I am here to report that the annual Pumpkin Buying Insanity
has begun.
I walked in to my neighborhood grocery on Friday and there they were. I could not help myself.
Last week I picked up this smaller farm style dining table off Craigslist. I really try to grab them when I can. They sell really well down at my shop plus they are great for displaying all of my dishware.
This is what it looked like when I picked it up on my lunch hour:
Except for the finish on the top it was clean and in really good shape. All I did was sand and refinish that top
and paint the apron and legs with General Finishes Milk Paint in
Lamp Black.
Let me just say right now that Lamp Black is the bomb! It is a soft, velvety black. Not at all inky or cheap looking.
It’s quite impressive:)
It did take me three coats of paint to get to this finish though. This is the second color I’ve tried in General Finishes Milk Paint line and I will say that it did not cover as well as the first color, Queenstown Gray.
So when I got the little farm table all nice and made over I started digging around in my cabinet to find some stuff to play with.
I picked up this blue striped table runner on the Clearance rack at Marshall’s for $8. Quite the deal for a 90 inch long runner!
Minus the Blue Williow plates that belonged to my Mama, everything else is headed down to my shop tomorrow,
Farm table in Lamp Black included!
