Sunday will mark eight months since I first moved in to my rented space down at Sweeten Creek Antiques. Let me just say that as I drove toward home on that move in day,
I was absolutely scared to death.
What if I suck?
What if nobody likes my stuff?
What if I have to tuck my tail between my legs and take all of this stuff back to my house?
So I stayed away for probably a good two or three weeks. Then, real casual like I stuck my head in there about 5 minutes before closing one evening. Those days my shop was all the way in the back, so that was a LONG walk for a girl who was nervous as hell. As I rounded the last corner before my shop was actually in site I very quickly glanced in it’s direction.
I could see HOLES everywhere!
For the past nine months my sales have grown steadily, each month a little better than the last. Then last month was substantially better. This is my first Summer as a vender down at Sweeten Creek and apparently it’s real BUSY. I’m struggling a bit to keep my little shop full and fluffy.
Good problem to have.
Yesterday I hauled two Jeep loads down there and actually spent time in my shop styling and photographing it. I hadn’t done that in quite a while. The shop really needed the attention plus I really enjoyed it. I also got to chat a little with a few shoppers and that was a bonus!
Here’s how it looked when I left it:
Yep.
I’ve crammed it full!
I decided to go ahead and paint the little mirror that came with this dresser I finished a week or so ago.
Have a great weekend!

I wish I lived closer to your shop! I see two candle pillars that I would grab quick! And I love that you painted the mirror that goes over that dresser. It's so cute & versatile now!! Good luck with future sales.
