The little update in our bedroom has really started a little fire in me. I’m not sure what has taken me so long, but I am slowly but surely putting the plan that’s been rolling around my crazy little head in motion.
The catalyst?
Well, for me it was this:
Covington Fabrics
Noblesse in navy
At $29/ yard, I used it sparingly. But with a fabric/ pattern like this, a little goes a long way. So as I’m moving around my home, sprucing up as I go, that fabric is just about all the money I’ve spent. I’m trying to use things I already have, just in a different room/ different way. Furniture Roulette we’ll call it.
About once a week. I try to make time to hit my favorite Thriftstores. There are five in my neighborhood alone so it’s not that much trouble. And I’m an ‘In & Out’ girl which makes it a whole lot less time consuming. I was out prowling when I spotted this little Walnut doll:
The base was perfect but the top was a mess. That little detail on the corners was what really sucked me.
Yea.
That and the $12.50 price tag.
It was sitting out front of the store with a bunch of small tables out there but I can promise you this one was best in show. I figured at the very least I could paint it. Then on the drive home when I’m usually mulling over colors, I decided to dig out my little orbital sander and just refinish that top.
But I didn’t have to.
Miss Mustard Seed’s hemp oil to the rescue again!
That’s it, I swear.
Pretty sweet 🙂

Oh, you took my breath away with the $12.50 price tag. I would have spent much more on that sweet table! I'll have to look up Miss Mustard Seed's Hemp Oil. I usually fix this problem with Old English, an oily black furniture polish.

That table is sweeeet! I'm going to have to invest in some of that hemp oil. It literally performs miracles.

That is a sweet little table. I never realized hemp oil can bring the wood back to life like that. I really like the detail on the table top.

Such a pretty little table! I have one piece that reminds me of this table quite a bit that I'm going to have to try hemp oil on, thanks!
