The weather has been lovely all week here in Western North Carolina so Big Daddy and I headed out early, EARLY this morning to East Asheville for a rather large neigjborhood yard sale. I haven’t yet had the honor of living with a Cast Iron Collector (see: Nut Job!) during yard sale season so I knew this would be interesting. And he was wide open! Alas, today was just not his day 🙁
It was Mama’s.
So here’s what I got with my $10 bill:
Sterling salt & pepper set
$5
I’ve wanted a pair of these for a while and never liked the price tag. The lady I got these from had two sets of them but these were in much better shape.
Next was this:
Burlap feed sac
$2
I spotted this as soon as I stepped out of Big Daddy’s truck. I really want to upholster something in it . Maybe a small ottoman?
Lastly and my favorite
Green metal stool
$3
Also know as my new place to sit my coffee cup in the mornings.
Doing my my Snoopy Dance!
It really doesn’t take much to make me happy. Somewhere I hear Big Daddy saying . . . .
Thank God!
Paige

OK. That green metal stool is MY favorite! Lucky you 🙂
(I would have settled for a day in East Asheville though – or a morning cup of coffee on that deck with that view. Doesn't take much to make ME happy either!)

Nice start to a new week, Paige…my favorite is the stool, in all it's chippiness.

Looks like all the real treasures are on East coast, Midwest, think we should have stayed in KY where can be in other states in matter of hour or two. You sure found some lovelies.
Still miss our house/1 1/2 acres out in country north of Bowling Green. My oldest son bought house/property fixed house up inside/out, put wonderful front porch on house. Sadly my health didn't like climate there – have asthma/allergies/arthritis so after 5 yrs. moved back west where too many things are so overpriced, especially homes, and had to settle for not even half as nice a place for more than double what we paid for KY. place. Kinda like being between rock and hard place. So many people are so greedy here (Grand Junction, CO). Would rather have gone back to MT. but none of our kids live there.
We live out in country few miles west of G.J. have 1/2 acre/single wide.
Noticed several people loved your little green chippy stool, it is a keeper. The size is perfect.
Think of all us who don't have ability to find goodies as you do, enjoy it.

Fun finds for sure! I stopped at a garage sale last Saturday and snagged a gorgeous needlepoint pillow. I paid $10, which I thought was a great price. Have fun treasure hunting….love your sterling S&P and the cute stool.
