This past couple of weekends here in Asheville have been just beautiful! The temps have been in the upper 50’s and even low 60’s so I took a little time on Sunday afternoon and cleaned up our front porch. Nothing major. I just used the leaf blower and cleared the dust and cobwebs. Then I got a bucket of warm soapy water and wiped down the windowsills, railing and the two chairs and small chest I keep out there. That teenie bit of effort made quite a difference!
I decided to keep going 🙂
I got out my hydrangia Spring wreath to replace the twig one that was out there on our front door, and all that did was fan the flames of my Crazy.
The red toile pillows left out on the porch from Christmas just weren’t cutting it so I dug through my stash and found some really small pieces of fabric that I had chipmunked and made some new, more Springy pillow covers!
I just had literally a scrap of the aqua toile left, so for the other pillow I used up the last of a heavy blue ticking stripe. Incidentally, I have four sets of pillow covers for these little lumbars, and three of them are toile. What can I say?
I love me some toile.
The chalkboard I keep out on my porch got a seasonal update as well. Big Daddy did the bunny for me. I love this little chalk board. It’s just an old frame that I saved from the landfill. I primed and painted over the glass with Rustoleum chalk board paint.
Easy .
Lastly, I cleaned up my blue Mason jars and set them on top of the little white chest for a little more Spring color
Just a few simple changes and a little elbow grease spruced up our entry nicely!
Now, all I need is a pot or two of tulips.
🙂
