Oh, what a difference a few hours make. We woke up this morning to a Winter Wonderland!
Yesterday our Governor declared North Carolina a state of emergency in anticipation of a MAJOR snow storm. We whirled around the house last evening in preparation like we were six year olds who might get out of school. Big Daddy’s text alert woke us at 5AM to let us know that we would be having a Snow Day together today! So, it will be Feety Pajamas for everyone around here…….
All weekend!!!
Just in case you have no idea what kind of lunitic you are dealing with here, this was a list of MY preparations yesterday:
1. Picked up new paint samples.
(Graphite & French Linen!!!)
2. Picked up a pair of old lamp based.
3. Hit the $2.99/yard table at the fabric store.
4. Make sure my red penguin feety pajamas, favorite socks and Georgia sweatshirt are clean.
Yep. That kinda nut.
OK, onward.
I am SUPER excited about the fabric I lucked up on at my neighborhood fabric shop! In my last post I mentioned I was plotting & planning Spring in my little shop. My gears are really turning about predominantly using greens and blues.
So here’s what I found in fabric:
I know.
That pear green Toile is to die for!
I always have pillows in my shop but I also plan to make table runners and maybe some napkins out of the blue ticking stripe. I also found a large ottoman I want to slip cover in the green print on the bottom, I think.
Don’t hold me to that.
I’ve have also been putting together a sizable collection of blue and white dinner and serving pieces and botanicals prints.
Then there’s this
Yeah.
I’m about to loose my mind up in here over this thing. Big Daddy found this for me at a Thriftshop. You know, every time I drag a piece of furniture home then doll it up, he has one question:
‘Is this one for keep or for sell?”
Well, big Man this’un is for Mama to keep.
For now anyway.
I will be painting the antique wardrobe I have in my kitchen and hauling it down to my shop. The big question on BOTH pieces is:
What color????
I’m truly enjoying this snow day but I’ve got Spring on the side burner!
So now if y’all will excuse me, I’ve got some snow to watch and a nap to take.
Happy Weekend,
Paige

We already have about 8 inches of snow and it is still coming down here in New Jersey…forecast says 12 to 16 inches before it is done. I'm bunkered down, cozy and warm. Absolutely LOVE the fabrics that you picked up! And that piece of furniture is GORGEOUS! Can't wait to see pictures of your booth all gussied up for the Spring. 🙂
