Almost two years ago I started taking my little act on the road and doing Vintage Markets. I QUICKLY figured out that when I loaded my Jeep to the gills (I looked like the Clampetts going down I26!) that I needed to have packed more than just furniture and chalkboards.
Sometimes I’m a little slow on the uptake.

True to my Frugal Girl form I used something I already had. This particular tote has gone all over the United States with me. It’s seen about four airlines, eleven states, five beaches and a tiny piece of Canada.
The tote has become invaluable to me. It lives in my Jeep so that I have just about everything a Furniture Flipper could need at the ready. I have pretty much whittled the contents down to exactly what I need. I have also sorted and packaged like things together to minimize clutter and mess.
There are several pockets all around the sides of this particular tote that I use specifically to hold the smallest stuff.
Here’s what STAYS in it, most of the time:
Screwdrivers
Scissors
Jute twine
Black & white bakers twine
Various $1 spools of ribbon
Rubber bands
Scotch tape
Painters tape
Paper hang tags
Pens, pencils, black Sharpie
Chalk
Cotton buffing cloth
Safety pins
Picture hanging kits
Thumbtacks
Felt pad for furniture legs and small accessories.
These are invaluable!
I also throw a Cliff bar or an apple and a bottle of water if I think I will be working down at my shop for a while.
Just a few tips I’ve learned the hard way. Apparently I enjoy it.
If y’all have anything to add that you have found helpful in this arena, please feel free to chime in!

Love the bag! 😉
I think you've got things covered and are ready with anything you might need. I'm a retired teacher and do some private tutoring now. I keep a tote with things I might need – scissors, stapler, markers, glue stick, paper, pencils, crayons, ruler, etc. – anything one might find in a classroom. 😉
Happy New Year!
