Random Stuff On Friday

This,  to me is a good day.

After I did laundry and cleaned house all morning (which is my usual Friday routine) I made a trek all around the thrift stores in South Asheville to poke around a bit.  I’m still in need of ‘Smalls’ for my booth down at Sweeten Creek Antiques so I was on the prowl for those.  As my luck would have it, I found nothing for the booth.

And everything for me. 

When I can put an entire outfit together for $32 I’m ecstatic!  The scarf was $8 at Ross.  You can not walk away from that.  The jeans were a $5 Thrift store find and of course the top is Marshall’s, $30.  I’ll put a pair of boots I already with all this and I’m set. 

Oh, and a big silver ring of course.

And this was in the mailbox when I got home and that’s never a bad thing.  I also came home with dinner, an armload of old books and a good bottle of wine.

So about a month ago I got a very large turn of the century dresser from a very sweet lady named Dot.  I finally started painting it last Sunday.  The middle drawer had way too many issues so it took me a while to figure out a workaround for it, but I have an idea.

Words that strike fear in the heart of Big Daddy.

With any luck my neighbor Mark will be home in a little while  ( I need his chop saw) and I might have this piece ready to take to my booth on Sunday. 

I did go and drop a few more thing off at my booth on Monday.  

It’s slowly coming together.

Tomorrow we are doing something I’ve wanted to do my ENTIRE life, ride a train.
