I LOVE me some pumpkins.
And I will go to great lengths to get them, especially the Heirloom variety. The very first time I saw an Heirloom Cinderella pumpkin I was in love. Stone in love. So this time of year I really go nuts. I was walking through our local South Asheville Ingles Market with Big Daddy on a Saturday and there in the produce department was a gloriously HUGE pile of a Heirlooms. I just squealed and ran in their direction when he collared me and said, ‘keep walkin’ Missy!’ He does not get it but he understands and appreciates that I love them. On Black Friday when he’s dragging them ALL to the curb for trash day, not so much.
A couple of Saturdays ago I picked myself up a good, big cup of takeout coffee and drove over to the Western North Carolina Farmers Market and just walked the entire thing and soaked it all in.
The Cinderella’s!
I don’t know what these are but I love them! The green and soft orange colors are beautiful together.
Miles and miles of these ornamental cabbages.
And just because I’m a glutton for punishment, I stopped in my all time favorite garden shop on my way back home.
BB Barnes is amazing! And expensive. So I do ALOT of looking here, but not much actual buying. It’s a great place for ideas and unique, one of a kind garden items.
Like these!
Boy, was I ever tempted to take these home.
Great.
Now I’ll be out for the rest of today looking for old doors!

Oh, how pretty! Can't resist just staring at all those lovely phmpkins. I'm going to my cottage this weekend where there are many roadside fresh markets, so I'm hoping they'll have a display of fall goodies! Thanks for sharing!
