There is definitely a nip
in the air here in Western North Carolina and I am loving it! I took a ride to the WNC Farmer’s market on Saturday morning and lost my mind in the pumpkins!
Hello.
My name is Paige and I’m a Pumpkin Lunitic.
I’ll readily admit it. I’m pretty frugal, but not when it comes to pumpkins. I spent $25 on pumpkins yesterday.
And I flipped my front porch for Fall!
All my Summer pots of flowers were spent so I brought in mums and coleus. I just love coleus ! It really thrives on my front porch.
I made new pillow covers for my wicker chairs also . I’d been collecting fabrics for a month or so with the change of season in mind .
Now it’s a lot more calm and neutral. The toile came from Hobby Lobby. That taupe buffalo check I got by the yard at Ikea in Charlotte when we picked up the couch.
The ottoman slipcover is my favorite.
It’s burlap!
I found this chocolate herringbone tweed burlap at Mary Jo’s Fabrics in Gastonia. I’m in love with it! I also decided to repaint the little nightstand in a more neutral color.
Annie Sloan Old White.
My first love! The color and product that started my Chalkpaint mania! I love how it looks with all the new colors for Fall! When I was at Hobby Lobby I found these drawer pulls in their perpetually 50% off bins.
$2.50 each.
They are a deep brown/ black wrought iron and go really well with the piece above the nightstand.
Believe it of not, this is a wrought iron door mat! Never seen anything like it before or since. It’s become a piece of architectural salvage on my front porch.
The antique Mason jars were a gift from my Dad . His Mother actually used these very jars for canning! I think they are the perfect shade of aqua. That silver tray is one of my favorite yard sale finds, I think unpaid $2 for it. The petite grapevine wreath was a $1.50 find on Saturday morning at Habitat For Humanity.
More coleus.
I also redid my chalkboard for fall.
I’ll show y’all more from the WNC later in the week. Thanks for stopping by to see my Fall porch!
I’m still asking for your support in the Asheville Hanitat For Humanity Reuse Restore contest! Please follow this link and vote for #24!

Thank you!
Paige

Your porch looks so welcoming and ready for fall Paige! I usually spend a lot on pumpkins and mums every year too. I even planted a pumpkin plant in hopes of saving money but my "1" pumpkin is still green:). I hope you are having a great weekend. Thank you so much for sharing your projects @ Dream. Create. Inspire. Link. I hope you will join us again this Tuesday night @ 8 EST. Take care, Tara

I had to laugh at Pumpkin Lunatic…I love the REAL old fashioned pumpkins when they are ready but your post reminded me of the year that I planted them not knowing they'd take over 3/4 of my yard 🙂

I, too, am a pumpkin lunatic and was gifted about a dozen pumpkins this year. But the darn squirrels have eaten through 3 of them already. Any ideas on how to keep the little critters away from my beautiful pumpkins?? Love your beautiful front porch and the pumpkin colored coleus…gorgeous!! Bonnie
