A Sweet Gift For A Sweet Friend

There is something sooooo cool going on in Blogland right now!  If this doesn’t put you in a Fall state of mind . . . .

I had picked up a frame a while ago from Michaels with the intentions of using it for something, who knows what.  

But I never got around to doing anything with it.  I have an entire closet full of ‘Never Got Around To It’ stuff.  I just thought this frame had some really cool details, so I grabbed it.

 

Plus I love a good sale on the Clearance aisle anywhere.

After I printed out the freebee from akadesign I went to work on the frame, glass and backing removed.  I got out a little Americana Decor chalk paint in the color Primative and brushed some on and immediately wiped it off.  

Here’s what I was left with:

I just love the way the paint settled into all the details of this frame!  And I think the quote is just beautiful.

While we were up in Cleveland our sweet friend and neighbor Donna took care of our little fuzzy babies.  She also dropped us off (before the crack of dawn!) and picked us up at the airport.  Donna is one of my dearest friends and I just love her to death!  She also loves Fall and  enjoys bringing it in to her lovely home.  

So, I wrapped the frame and quote up in some pretty paper,

And left it in her mailbox as a little surprise and ‘Thank You’ for all she does for us.  Any of these sweet printables would brighten someone’s day.  So think about that when you are looking through them. Maybe pick up a thrift store frame for a buck of two and dig through your paint?

Doesn’t mean I won’t print one out for myself later on.
