Last Friday I dropped Big Daddy off at his office and decided to do something I had wanted to do for YEARS.
I had breakfast on the Biltmore Estate.
If you are ever in Western North Carolina please try to make time to visit this picturesque estate. It is simply amazing. You truly feel as though you have been transported back in time!
Especially at Christmas!
The entire estate is decked out for the Season!
And the floral displays are gorgeous!
Summer ain’t bad either.
The gardens alone are worth the trip
I personally went just for
The Yellow Brick Road
As far as the eye can see
Absolutely amazing
As I wandered (carefully) in and out of the rows of sunflowers, I noticed a woman just ahead on the path.
What a treat!
And here is my breakfast spot.
I had the place completely to myself.
It was cool that morning with a little breeze. I had stopped at the bagel shop in the village and got my favorite bagel, Cinnamon Crunch and a large hazelnut coffee.
Just me and what sounded like a very large Bullfrog.
Just lovely!
Paige

What a great post! I was in Asheville exactly one year ago and this was a great trip down memory lane for me. Some of my favorite moments revolved around the wonderful food there. I ate in the Stable Cafe at the Biltmore and had the most amazing tomato sandwich. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for sharing!

I had been following everything Biltmore Estate for decades. PBS documentaries Issues of Southern Living and Victoria magazine. I saved them hoping one day I'd get there. Way before the phrase "bucket list" was created. I love history, great buildings and gardens. So when we flew into Atlanta 2 year's ago before we went to Savannah we drove to Ashville. Ok not really on the way but we had time. But it was Dec 27 and the estate would still be decorated for Christmas. We bought tickets before and was assured it wasn't going to snow. It started 1 hour before we got there. We have so many pictures of an estate decorated and snow falling on the beautiful grounds. If you can ever get there and only once I'd suggest during the holidays. I will never forget it.
Thanks for listening.

Oh Lord I love this place, back in the 2004 I did my cooking internship at the diffrerents venues they have, like the bakery, The Inn at Bitmore, The Stables, the buffet restaurant, and the home garden. I had the best experince of my life, is a beautiful place, with great people and great food. And the house is amazing. Thanks for the memories.

Hi Paige! Great post and so fitting as my parents just got back from Biltmore! My husband's cousin was married there last year but we couldn't make the wedding. I hope one day to visit as I have heard how gorgeous it is. Featuring tonight on the Link Party and thanks for sharing and for the great pics!
