On a cold and snowy January morning I was the only soul awake in my house. That included cats. I was sitting in my spot in the living room and I had just put on a pot of coffee. While I waited for it to brew, I was staring at the screen of my IPad with my index finger hovering above one word on that screen.
Publish.
I was at a point in my life where I wanted
something just for myself, to do something just for me so I decided to give it a try.
That was exactly six months ago this week. Those first few weeks I was a raving lunatic! I must have checked my stats a hundred times a day. I had a list of blog post ideas a mile long and I was absolutely obsessed with taking better pictures, in a time of year where good natural light is fleeting to none.
And I was loving every moment of it!
The past six months have been more fun than I could have ever imagined! This little blog I write has been the most enjoyable and frankly therapeutic adventure I have ever taken. I had not a clue where my crazy little idea would go that morning when I hit Publish.
What have I learned?
A lot
The Blogger Community has been extremely kind to me. I have gotten nothing but kindness and support from everyone I have come in contact as well as lots of very positive and helpfull feedback.
About two months in I made the best decision I could have possibly made when it comes to building a blog. I got my nerve up to actually submit a bit of my work to a Link Party.
I say it was the best decision for two reasons. First, it will increase your blog traffic immediately. But, more importantly you are now interacting with other bloggers! And Oh, the stuff we can learn from each other.
And that’s the really fun part!
So if you are sitting out there somewhere in your feety pajamas thinking about pressing Publish, just do it!
But know this going in:
It is A LOT of work.
And I would not trade it for anything!
Paige

Congratulation on your blog. I love to blog and visit other blogs. I have been blogging since 2009 with a little break because of my husband had a major accident. But we are fine and back to blogging!!!

Congratulations Paige. You are an inspiration. I've been dabbling with a blog but am struggling with the mechanics of it. My biggest problem right now is figuring out why most of my readers can't leave comments. I use blogspot too. Any suggestions for where to learn about the mechanics of blogging?

Yes! Go into design then under settings you can change the comments to anyone. As for the rest there is a lot of tutorials on YouTube . Just google the problem you are having in Blogger and you should find a video tutorial for it.
