It’s been a quiet week around here, at least on the Blog Front. My day job has been kicking my butt for the past month and I think it has finally caught up with my head. Honestly, I have not picked up a paint brush in over two weeks.
Until today.
But first I picked up my orbital sander
The paint and old varnish come off in just a few minutes. Thank God, because it was 92* today. And I Do not sweat well. Currently it is sitting in my dining room with a good coat of paint on it, waiting for the next step.
Which brings me to something cool I got in the mail.
I have been dying to try this on something ever since I saw this stencil on Pintetest ! So now’s my chance. You may remember this little 1920’s chest of drawers was one of the three pieces I scored all together a week ago.
I’ve been so washed out in the evenings I have basically hit the door, watched some TV (Breaking Bad on Netflix) and gone to bed to read. But last evening I did go get my Monkey Feet cleaned up. Lord, I just love it when they rub my legs and feet at the end of a HARD week.
Emmitt thinks I have nothing in the world to do except hold him and tell him he’s pretty & smart !
You gotta love that Strawberry Marguarita Pink!
I have LARGE plans this weekend for some furniture. More on that later.
