I have spent more time on our front porch in this past week than I have in a long time. And so has Big Daddy. Two things about this amaze me.
First, what a big difference small, inexpensive changes can actually make. A couple of key pieces and colors in just the right place drew us in and kept us coming back.
Second, what in this world took me so long??
Beats me.
But I am definitely on it now!
This is our ‘Revolving’ chalkboard. It changes seasonally. I had it on our mantle in the Spring with a big bunny on it.
The frame I fished out of a stack of old ones at my day job that were headed to the dumpster. I primed the glass them applied two coats of Rustoleum Chalkboard paint.
I moved this hanging cone-shaped planter around from the deck. The sweet potatoe vine was not happy out back anyway. The mid-day sun is pretty harsh.
It reminds me of a Bee Skep.
I found these cool clips to hang it on the siding, (without making any holes) one morning as I was pushing a cart through the grocery store. I wish I could find more! I’ve never seen them anywhere ever again.
I have to say this is my new Coffee Spot.
The light is just amazing in the early morning.
Where is your Coffee Spot?

my back porch is sad, but we have a little flagstone patio in the front that we sat on last night after watering the planter pots. It's on the East side of the house, so gets the evening shade while the back of the house gets the beating down sun while it's going down in the West. Note to self: never buy a house with a West-side back patio!
