Reindeer moss . . . I LOVE this stuff!
You see it ALL over the place in Blogland right now. One would think by the name, it would be relegated to Christmas. But Spring is its big Season. The internet is loaded with images of the fluffy, lime green stuff used in wreaths
On orbs
And in pots of Spring bulbs
This is on my friend Donna’s coffee table
And in her kitchen!
I love it! I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to it. So here is my take on the orbs in my home.
You don’t need much to get started.
I got the bag of moss at Michael’s, you guessed it . . . Coupons in hand! The original price was 6.99 minus 60%. Do the math. I had enough moss to do two large and two small styrofoam balls which I already had. And yes, that is the worlds smallest hot glue gun! I’ve had it my entire adult life.
It is exactly like putting together a puzzle. Nothing to it!
And here’s what I did with it.
I’ve been collecting old silver for a long time and this tray is by far my favorite. It was a $2 junk shop find! I just fell in love with the cute little feet!
With the extras I played around in the kitchen with the ever-revolving top of the jelly cabinet. This piece is very special to us anyway. A gentleman my Mama work with for years made a pair of them, one for her & one for me. We use ours as a bar cabinet. I have several of Mr. Henline’s pieces in my home.
So my first Spring project is in the books. I have several more earmarked on Pintrest to try like front door things & bird eggs.
Do something creative today!
Paige
