Thank you so much for all the great feedback about the mini kitchen make over! Today when I walked in from work it felt sooo good! Like being in a NEW house. I am really enjoying all the updates we have done in the past couple of months.
Today I want to share a little bit about some design plans I have had rolling around my crazy little head for a while now. And we are strictly talking about the kitchen.
First, I want that bakers rack gone. It has served its purpose for fifteen years and it deserves a rest.
In someone else’s home.
Here’s what I’m after for the same space:

Or maybe Old White.
It was my first love!

I am dead set on a dresser because of the storage it offers but I am seriously considering removing a drawer and replacing it with baskets.
Kinda like this.

You get the idea.
This will defiantly stay
I love this old jelly cupboard. We use it for a bar cabnet.
I also am stewing over a window treatment for that monster bay window in my kitchen.
I’m really thinking black and white cafe curtains.
Waverly Love!
And new rugs for at the sink and by the back door.
A smaller scale of course. I found this one on Overstock.com.
I’ve been saving something REALLY cool Big Daddy gave me for Christmas. I wanted to use it in a special place, not just make a pillow out of it.
Just picture it flanked by two buffet lamps!
Pretty cool of him, huh? I started to reupholster that little ottoman in it but I stopped short of it. My plan is to frame it and hang it above the dresser when I find the perfect one (for free on the roadside some place).
I am already starting to adjust to the fact that it may not go down that way.
‘That’s gonna cost you, Mrs. Davis.”
Famous last words, Mr. Davis!

I think a vintage dresser is great in any room of the house. I have one under my tv in the family room that I love. Can't go wrong and so useful! Love your bay window – lucky!

Thank you! I agree, I think a dresser is the single most versatile piece of furnature you can own.
