Much to my husband’s disappointment, I like to paint furniture in the middle of our kitchen floor. Although it is my only option in winter, I prefer it year round because it is climate controlled. It drives Big Daddy to drink when he can’t walk through the kitchen and not encounter a single thing. Apparently, he needs to be able to do Zoomba in there at all times, whenever the mood strikes him. The funny thing is if the mood has EVER struck him, I was COMPLETLY oblivious to it. Fact.
Two evenings ago I snuck out to the garage and draged this in the house:
The very nice man at the Salvation Army threw it in my Jeep for FREE since I had purchased several other things. I had to repair the back piece but other than that the chair was perfect!
I already had a color picked out in my crazy little head. Try as I might, I can not seem to lay off the turquoises. Alas , I did not have that particular color of chalk paint in the house. So , I Mcgivered one together. Again.
Then I added a little dark wax and light sanding
This is my view as I am working on this post:
And this is my little helper
We have had about ten inches of snow this week. And I am in heaven!
All I can say in Thank God for that paint mixer over at The Purple Painted Lady!

I have used that paint mixer several times lately and I’ve been very happy with my results!
I am big on buying those little ASCP sample pots of paint. If I want to try a new color I come home with one if those. Fear of commitment or the price tag , you pick. I have sooo many little bits of this paint or that paint that I feel the need to NOT waste it and chairs typically do not take a lot of paint to cover.
Something else wonderful happened today. I found something very important to me that I thought I lost.
