I thought about starting a blog for probably three years before I ever actually created a Google Bloger account. That’s when I first discovered them, anyway. And I fell SMACK in love. Seriously in love with every aspect of it, the entire culture if that’s the right word for it.
It appeared to me that the vast majority of the blogs that I was visiting / frequenting were authored by females. These women astounded me.
They could do anything! And most of the time they were doing it with Kleenex & duct tape. I am serious , they were using what the had. They were brilliant, talented, budget-minded women who wanted to share what they had learned with anyone who would stop in and read the blog that they were pouring their heart and soul into.
I began to learn soooooo much immediately.
This was my very first project.
Then this
Not just crafts & decorating but stuff like how to caulk a tub surround the easy way or whiten grout or amazing hot chocolate recipes . But it was the decorating & Pottery Barn knockoffs that kept me going back for more.
Stuff like this
See what I mean? This is a chair most of us would walk right past. Not any more, huh?
As my knowledge and skill level grew I began to put it into practical application . . . All around my home. I can remember my husband coming home one Friday evening and looking me square in the eye and not cracking a smile. “What is WITH the burlap??” was his first question.
Flash forward about 3 1/2 years. A couple of weeks ago I made it to one thousand hits on my little blog after exactly one month! You could not stand to be around me for three days! I am not at all kidding. And I am enjoying it soooooo much!
My latest project
So let me say officially
