I have lived my entire life in Western North Carolina. I absolutely adored it here. We have traveled all over this country and have fallen in love, I mean stone IN LOVE with several other states & cities. But we always come home.
The flight descent into Asheville is smack In the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains and we are in awe every single time. We look at each other and both say, ‘I can not believe we live here’.
To me western North Carolina is beautiful in Winter.

When I was in college I went to class during the day and worked nights. That’s how I earned both my degrees. I went where the money was. Winters I worked at the ski resort
and Summers I worked here
I was like a migrant worker and I am quite proud of that fact. I was the first person in my ENTIRE family (my Mama’s siblings and all the grandchildren) to graduate from college.
I met Big Daddy at one of my night jobs, in a local Bar & Grill called McGuffeys. He walked in the night before my 21st birthday. We were married exactly two years later in this beautiful chapel at Lake Junaluska NC.

What a beautiful story….. you really do live in one of the most beautiful areas of this amazing country of ours!! Lake Junaluska is one of our stopovers as we head to the Smokies every year… Even though I have lived my entire life in Florida … near the ocean…. Every Single Year ..
